Maulden, Class of 1980, is the recipient of the Beth Cooley Cheerleading Award—named after her former cheermate. Maulden earned two varsity letters as a cheerleader. The 1978 LHS football cheer squad won first place at NCA camp competition at UGA, and the 1979 squad was awarded the prized Spirit Stick. Maulden served as a Class Treasurer, was voted to the Miss Lakeside Court every year and was crowned Homecoming Queen her senior year. Maulden attended the University of Alabama where she majored in Accounting. She had student leadership roles such as a proctor for business communications and won the JH Menning Award. While at UA, she was a Kappa Sigma little sister and was voted a Corolla Favorite by the student body. After college, Maulden worked in accounting and continues to work in the hospitality industry as Director, Global Accounts where she books major events and conventions. Maulden has two sons, Fox and Hunter, who attended West Point and the U.S. Naval Academy. She served as President of the West Point Parents Club of Central Florida from 2005-10, and is married to Mike Adams.
